Our Best Fall Candle Scents

I was walking our bulldog last Friday when it hit me...fall is finally creeping back in! I could feel the coolness in the air, especially when the wind blew, and I even spotted a couple leaves changing color. This development couldn't have thrilled me more and, as a result, I had an extra bounce in my step all weekend.

But what does this all have to do with candles? Well, a couple things.

First, fall is the perfect season for burning candles. Whether you're looking for ambiance, want a festive scent filling your home, or snuggling up for the evening with a good book, the right candle can make all the difference.

More importantly, Waxy Wenches Candle Company has three fantastic fall-time options available. While I love all our creations, these are definitely some of my favorites! If you're looking for a nice addition to your home or need a gift for a loved one, consider choosing one of these great fall candle scents:

Samhuin

Combination of pumpkin, nutmeg, coconut, cream, and other fall spices.

The name for this scent comes from the Gaelic/Scottish word for "summer’s end.” Any Outlander fans will likely recognize the word, albeit it's spelled slightly differently. Released for the first time last year, this is one of our most recent additions and it's become extremely popular. I tend to consider Samhuin the fall version of The Baker's Wife.

Autumn Reverie

Combination of hot baked apples, cinnamon, sugar, butter, and vanilla.

The word "reverie" describes a state of being pleasantly lost in one's thoughts, which definitely describes me during the fall. There's nothing better than sitting outside, enjoying the mildly crisp air, listening to the gentle rustling of leaves, and daydreaming about...well, anything. This scent often reminds people of warm apple pie and it does indeed smell good enough to eat! Shoppers who enjoy "foodie" smells find it particularly pleasant.

Sweet Apple Bark

Combination of baked apples, cinnamon, fresh eucalyptus, wood, and spice.

Possibly best described as Autumn Reverie's more earthy cousin, Sweet Apple Bark was originally released as part of our Enchanted Woodlands line. While it contains some of the same elements, it's ultimately more reminiscent of an apple orchard than a pie. The smokey undertone tends to remind people of cool evenings spent by a fire.

Anything tickling your fancy? We know the season won't be quite the same without the usual autumn faires and festivals, but maybe one of these fall candle scents can bring a little of the fairground home to you. You can find all of these great options available for purchase on the Waxy Wenches Candle Company website and via our Etsy shop.

Farewell for now and stay safe!
